Louisa Norris |
Mum
Louisa Rose was born in London, her Mother Martha Jane was in service
and her father Frank was a slaughter man.
She went to school until she was 14 then left to work at book binding until she was 21, when
she was called up as we were at war. She worked in the City of London working in the Fire Service as a telephonist.
She worked as a telephonist for Hammersmith and Fulham Council for many years.
She loves reading, and puzzle books, not a great TV addict, but listens to the radio or her
CD's as she loves music, and loves to whistle and sing.
She had always known my Dad they grew up together they married on 23rd August in
Pitsea Church Vange Essex. This is where her Dad and Mum are buried.
Mum loves going out for lunch and meeting people and at 87 still pops on a bus to the Town
Hall or YMCA to meet her friends.
She lives in Fulham, six floors up with no lift. It kills me to get up those stairs, but I
know it keeps her fit.
Often I look at myself in the mirror and see my Mum, Ray keeps telling me I get more like
her each day, I don't think that's a problem...she is lovely and I wouldn't swap her for all the tea in China.

George Norris |
Dad
George Francis William was born on 22nd September 1922 in London. He was in the Royal
Navy in the war and always loved the sea.
His trade was a butcher, and he worked 6 days a week most of his life. Being tied to the
job because we lived over the shop in Goldhawk Road meant he could never take a Saturday off not even for a wedding, (with
the exception of John and Margaret Smith's wedding) and had just a few weeks holiday a year.
With his precious time off he travelled to many countries.
Dad had cancer in later years, had a kidney removed, which gave him a few more
years but Sadly he died on 1st December 1985 just 63 years old, with lung cancer.
He had many other interests, he was a mason, and belonged to 2 lodges. He loved
deep sea fishing too.
I'm sure if he could have lived his life again he would not have
changed a thing.
He was not perfect, but I loved him very much,
and I still miss him dreadfully.

My 'older' sister
Linda Louise Norris was born in July.
I followed Lyn through primary, and secondary school, it's no fun being the youngest. Lyn
was far more academic than I, liked reading and could spell too. She had a good French accent according to Miss Buggy our
French teacher "Your sister doesn't sound like a cockney" she would say.
We use to fight when we were at home together, 4 years is quite a gap, I wanted to play games,
and she didn't, I was up with the lark and she wanted to sleep in.
Now we are older we have that "twin thing"......we buy the same type clothes, both love line
dancing, if I have a filling in a tooth, she seems to have the same problem.
I went on a cruise, and got a really nice purse in Palma, 2 years later we meet up to go dancing
and guess what? Yep the same purse, I think we even went into the same shop.
We have grown closer over the years, and Lyn is my best friend too (except I prefer Country
music to dance to and she likes Pop).
She married Frank Behan in 1972 and has 2 wonderful children, who have grown up to be really
nice adults.
Kevin who married Sarah on the 28th of March 2006.
Shiv (Siobhan) is living in Bedford with Simon and enjoying life.
Lyn stayed at home with Kevin and Siobhan until they were both at high school then worked
for HSBC bank, she was promoted to a Bank Manager a few years later. She is now head of HR for trident, and has a real
high flying job, very hard work, but never boring.
I don't know what I would do without my sister, she is always there when
I need her, and I just thank God that I wasn't an only child.
My Son
Steven George Alldis was born at 8.23am on a Tuesday. Has always
loved to sing and play guitar.
He took lessons for guitar and sax when he was younger, but is really self taught on guitar
which he plays continually at home now.
He hated school and is dyslexic; his short term memory has always been a problem. Cardinal
Wiseman were really great and he left school in 2004 with 13 GCSE's.
He spends a lot of his time on the computer and has built his own web site which is linked
below. He is Star Wars crazy and what he doesn't know about the films is not worth knowing.
He has a gift for healing and animals adore him, he is very sensitive when it comes to animals
and loves all things with fur and feathers, but will go mental if a butterfly comes near.
He has been working at Parceline Alperton since May 2005 as a debriefing clerk.
He loves playing golf and has been to Portugal to play twice now for a week at a time.
He bought his self a new car in 2009, and is enjoying life going out with his many friends
at weekends.
Steve is a very caring young man, and the best son in the world.

Ray and I |
My Husband
Raymond Alldis was born in Ealing in November
.
His Mum and Dad Constance and Joe Alldis
had 4 children, Alan the oldest, then Ray, Brenda and Tony.
He married Fay and had 3 girls, Deborah,
Sandra and Lisa.
He then married Annette and had Paul.
We were married in November 1986 and
have since had Rebecca and Steven.
I acquired a large family when we married,
and they have grown in number.
Sandra and Fitzroy have 4 children Katie,
Curtis, Alyssia and Travis. Katie has had 2 of her own, Tyrese and Shauntay-Lee.
Lisa and Trevor have 2 children Abisha and
Dion.
So Ray has 6 children, 6 grandchildren and
2 great grandchildren.
Ray is a driver, and can drive anything from
a fork-lift truck to a HGV or Coach, he works at Northolt Airport.
His hobby is fishing, and likes nothing better
than to sit at the top of our road and fish the Grand Union.
His favourite Football team is Arsenal.
His favourite tipple is beer and loves a
good ale.
The picture was taken just before we were
married and he wasn't keen on going to a ladies night and hated dressing up, but I think he looked really good in a dress
suit.

Becky and I |
My Daughter
Rebecca Louise Alldis was born at 7.40am on Tuesday
Such a delight, as a child, hated being told off, so never
did anything wrong.
School phobic, would be sick just going into school. My fault
I really didn't want her out of my sight. When you're told you will never have children and you want them so much it hurts
you don't want to leave them at all.
Did nursery for about a week, in Gifford, until they said no
more, keep her at home....Funny to look back now she is a teacher in that same school.
Went to Betham Church of England Primary School, then to Cardinal
Wiseman Secondary School which is Catholic.
Becky always wanted to be a primary School teacher, because
she hated school so much I think she felt she could help children who felt the same way.
She did her 3 years at St Mary's Twickenham got her BA in primary
school teaching, and is now teaching year 3 at Gifford School, just over the road from us.
We have always gone to church, and Becky now runs the Sunday
School and is on the Leadership Team at St Hugh's Church.
We have always been Line dancing together and we go away for
the odd weekend dancing too.
Becky and I are very close and I couldn't wish for a better
daughter, always kind and considerate extremely hard working, always smiling and happy, what more could a Mum ask for?
